Nytt år, nya tag. Snart.

Så. Färdig med att skicka in bilder till Årets bild 2015. 

Med en hel dag till godo innan deadline. Se där.

Jag kan avslöja att jag satsade allt på material från examensarbetet. Satte ihop ett utlandsreportage, en porträttserie, några vardagsbilder utland och till sist kvalade en bild in i kategorin Övrigt.
Inte för att jag har enorma förhoppningar om att vinna något. Men chansen är ändå alltid större om man har skickat in, än om man inte har det.

Mitt fotograferande fick ett tvärstopp nu inför december. Efter några månader där jag börjat plåta mer och mer, jobbat med egna projekt och verkligen kände att något var på gång så sprack bubblan. Jag skyller på att jag fick ett vikariat som reporter och har jobbat mer än heltid sedan början av december. Inget negativt med det  - jag behöver pengar och jag trivs jättefint på Folkbladet. Men det kräver en enorm ork för att stiga upp vid 6, jobba hela dagen, komma hem och vara en trevlig pojkvän, ha ett någorlunda socialt liv, och dessutom hinna med att driva egna projekt.
  

Så just nu lägger jag det lite åt sidan. Ett tag i alla fall. Jag är inte stressad, det kommer att komma igång igen. Man mår inte bra av för mycket tvång över en hela tiden.

Ett nostalgiskt inlägg

Ikväll var jag ute och åt middag tillsammans med ett par kompisar från klassen. Vi började diskutera idéer för våra examensprojekt. Ämnen, platser, ekonomi, utrustning och allt som hör till. 

Jag kom ännu en gång att tänka på hur fantastiskt grymt det skulle vara att åka tillbaka till Kina och göra mitt projektarbete där. Men jag vet inte vad projektet skulle handla om isåfall och jag tror inte heller jag ekonomin att finansiera en sån resa. Men det är kul att fantisera i alla fall.

Här är några bilder från min tid där. Jag har nog aldrig varit så aktiv på att fotografera som halvåret jag bodde där. Dessa bilder är från de fåtal rullar gammal hederlig film jag plåtat.

Best of 2010

I'm a bit late with this summation of 2010, but anyway, here it goes; some of my favourite pictures from the past year. Enjoy.

This past year has been pretty amazing. I have:

- Lived in 3 cities

- Lived in 2 countries

- Visited 3 countries

- Had 4 jobs

- Seen Kent and Paramore live

- Stood outside Coldplay's studio

- Read two of the best books of my life

- Made a lot of new friends

- Entered my 20s

- Grown about 1 cm

- Fallen in love

Picture taken in october last year from the roof of my house.

It feels so wierd that it's already been a year since I took these pictures.

About to the top picture; a year ago Apple took me sightseeing Suzhou. At a tiny, and not quite so clean, restaurant we made friends with this young girl. She was on holiday from school and wanted to help her uncle out, who was the owner of the restaurant.

Before we left she gave me a tiny bell. I have no idea if that is a symbol for something, but I've kept that bell anyhow.

Hangzhou

Some pictures from the buddhist monastary in Hangzhou.

It wasn't allowed to take photos inside the temple, but it was a view I will never forget. In the middle of the room was a giant golden statue of buddha, at least 10 meters tall. His eyes were nothing but black holes, but the facial expression was so ... don't know how to say, vivid? Can't really say what it was, in some way the statue seemed so alive.

I'm not really much of a religious guy and even less a spiritual one. But in that moment as I stared into those black holes for eyes, with monks all around the area and with my nose filled with the scents from the smoke outside the temple, I couldn't help to feel some divine presence or something. It was wicked cool.

From one thing to another - I've desperetaly need to start bringing my camera around more. Feels like I'm just uploading old pics all the time these days. I blame my work for this new habit a little bit; after a whole day of starring at a computer screen I don't really feel like doing that at home too. So hang in there a bit more, I'll make it fresh asap.
